It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Beatrice Henry at the Tiger Hills Personal Care Home on August 15, 2018 at the age of 89 years.  

She leaves to cherish her memory her children; Wendy (Ted) Bartlett, Patrick (Cheryl) Vennard, Bill Vennard, Donna (Ernie) Kreker and Dave Vennard; her grandchildren Trevor, Michelle, Brittney, Melissa, Dylan, Matthew, Neil, Karlee, Julie, Emily and Nickolas; her great-grandchildren Shelby and Makayla Bartlett, Brooklyn and Katelyn Venne and Madison Vennard. Also, her siblings Harvey English and Edna (Jim) Erickson, as well as numerous nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

She was predeceased by her first husband Norman Vennard in 1979, her second husband Thomas Henry in 2004, her brother Wes English and sister-in-law Sonja English.

Bea was the first born to Harry and Elsie English on January 2nd 1929.   She worked in Winnipeg at Eatons and in 1958 married Norman Vennard, spending many years as a hard working farmer’s wife in the Treherne area busily raising five children.  She enjoyed the fellowship of the Arbroth Hospital Guild, Matchetville W. A. and the Treherne Ladies Legion Auxiliary where friendships were made lasted a life time.  After Norman’s death in 1979, Bea found love once again and she married Tom Henry in 1986.  Many happy winters were spent in Mesa, Arizona and in British Columbia where new friends were made.  After Tom’s passing in 2004, she eventually moved to the Legion Lodge in Treherne and then spent her final years at the Personal Care Home.  

Funeral services will be held in the Treherne United Church on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at 2 pm. Interment will take place at the Rossendale Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Tiger Hills Health Foundation c/o Personal Care Home or the Treherne United Church.
