With great sadness we announce that Brenda peacefully passed away on Friday, June 5th, surrounded by family at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Brenda will join her mother Doris, and two brothers Mark and John in heaven.
She spent much of her young life as a devoted nurse at the Swan Lake Hospital, where she met and later married her husband of 26 years, Ken Andries. Later during her career, she continued nursing at Oakview Personal Care Home in Winnipeg, Manitoba, where she made some of her dearest friends.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her father, John Jonk, her loving husband, Ken Andries and three children; Jessica, Brooke and McKenzie Andries. She also leaves to mourn her mother in law Gerarda Andries (nee De Kezel), her brothers and sisters in law; Rob (Marilyn) Andries, Greg (Teresa) Andries, Jeff (Candace) Andries, Beverly (Dwayne) Klatt, as well as many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, there will be a donation box at the St. Alphonse hall to contribute to the Pulmonary Hypertension Association Of Canada.
Prayers will be held at Adam’s Funeral Home on June 12, 2015 at 6:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the St Alphonse Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, June 13, 2015. Eulogy and video tribute at 10:30 am followed by Funeral Mass at 11:00 am with Father Armand Le Gal officiating. Interment will take place after Mass at the St. Alphonse Parish Cemetery.
