Denis Marcel Le Roux

Peacefully at the St. Claude Health Centre on Friday, January 14, 2022, Mr. Denis Le Roux of St. Claude, Manitoba passed away at the age of 78 years.

He leaves to mourn his passing one sister Yvonne Le Roux; one sister-in-law Alice Le Roux; his nieces and nephews, Suzanne, Gilles, Donald, Roger, Ronald, Julie, Colette, Monique, Gisèle and Russell.

He was predeceased by his brothers, François, René and Armand; and by his sisters, Marie-Ange (Damien) Dupras, Clémence (Clément) Le Cunff and Yolande Le Roux.

Denis was a content man, simple, calm and quiet, the likes of which were cultivated from decades on the family farm. The farm was home. On the inside the television regularly played “The Price is Right”, while outside was described by the whistling winds, the blues and oranges that painted the flatland skies, and sandy rolling hills that broke the days sun at dusk. Rising early and putting his life’s work into the land meant Denis had only one boss, the weather. Whether it rained or shined, Denis, spent his time with his trucks and tractors, the tools in which one man could work 300 acres of land. He was an industrious man, a thinker, a solo, but Denis knew he was apart of a community.  And so, when the sun rose on January 14, 2022, Denis was smiling knowing all that he had done with his hands, and his land for his family and for his community; he passed like the sun at dusk over the sandy rolling hills.

A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at 11:30 a.m. in the St. Claude Parish Cemetery.
