Obituary

Denis Pouteau

Peacefully with his family by his side, at the Lorne Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, Dennis Pouteau passed away at the age of 74 years.

He leaves to mourn his passing his siblings, Gloria (Walter) Frey and Garnet (Jeannine) Pouteau; his nieces and nephews, Jessie Pouteau, Brittany Van De Kerckhove, Jacqueline Lock, Twyla Sampson, Selena Nisbet, Kendell Sampson, and their families.

Denis is predeceased by his parents Leon Pouteau and Madeleine (née Brandt); and by one nephew Kyle Sampson.

Denis George Pouteau, born January 25, 1949, in Swan Lake Manitoba. He lived in Mariapolis most of his life, spent many years helping his parents run Pouteau Foods Store in Mariapolis, then later helping his brother Garnet and sister-in-law Jeannine when they took over the store. In his free time, he loved all things sports. You could always find him watching a hockey, football, and baseball game on TV. He also enjoyed Belgium bowling and cards. He was a caring, easygoing man, he will be missed by many.
