Dorothée was born November 12, 1931. She was the daughter of Léon Mangin and Clara Godard. She attended Ste. Marie school in Bruxelles. Dorothée married her husband Albert Gagnon on October 22, 1953. For many years they milked cows and raised chickens and pigs.  Dorothée had a love of gardening and a passion for tending to the flower beds she had in the farm yard. She also enjoyed baking, sewing, knitting, crocheting and playing cards. Ritual Sunday gatherings was one of her favourite past times as she loved to gather with family and friends. When Dorothée would win a card game against Albert she always had a way of laughing that would let him know that she won for sure, and in the end they would end up laughing together; and the rest of the family would end up in laughter too, after watching them lovingly tease each other.

Dorothée and Albert had seven children together. Four of which she is reunited with now in heaven. Dorothée was a kind hearted women who was beautiful inside and out. She will be remembered as a women that was outstandingly courageous. She may be gone from our sight but she will never be gone from our hearts.
