It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Guy P. Lacroix at the Health Science Centre on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at the age of 85 years.

He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife of 63 years Agnes (née Thorimbert), his children Marilyne (Mark) LeClair and Jacqueline (Lucien) Dubois; his grandchildren, Matthew (Tracey), Jason and Nicolas; his great grandchildren, Sydni and David and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Guy was predeceased by his parents Paul and Germaine as well as his twin brother Denis and godson Raymond.

Guy was very successful in the many endeavours he pursued throughout his life, always taking time to meet and talk with people along the way. He was passionate about teaching, seeing the value of education, knowledge and a second language as a means for opportunities. He was also a strong voice against bullying. Dad loved farming and was fortunate to share it with his twin brother Denis. He learned to ski at 55 and was still skiing at 75 years of age. He enjoyed curling and music. His greatest pride and joy however was his family. He was the greatest supporter for his grandchildren. He travelled the province cheering them on whether at curling rinks, hockey rinks or music festivals.

A come and go visitation will be held at Adam’s Funeral Home on Monday, May 31, 2021 from 3:30-4:30 p.m.

A Private Funeral service will be held at the St. Claude Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday, June 2, 2021.  Eulogy, Music and Video at 10:30 a.m. followed by Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m.
