John was born on March 18, 1939 on the family farm near Bruxelles, Manitoba.  John grew up in a very close-knit family.  He carried those strong family values into his own home and was a very special dad and husband.  John always appreciated the simple things in life: he enjoyed playing music with Agnes, spending time with his children, quadding around his farm, playing cards, and visiting around the kitchen table.  His grandchildren and great-grandchildren held a very special place in his heart.
