William “Leonard” Daniels

Peacefully at the Notre Dame Health Centre on Sunday, November 27, 2022, Mr. Leonard Daniels passed away at the age of 60 years.

He is survived by his partner Carol, his son Errol Cameron (Kim) and his grandchildren, Elise, Emery, Arial, Kassidy and Anthony.  He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Robert (Jeannie), Darlene, Grant (Louise), Deb, Marge and Pat as well as many nieces and nephews and his mother-in-law Emma Martin.

Leonard was predeceased by his father Tommy Daniels, mother Theresa Daniels, his brothers, Don, Ron, Leslie and Thomas and his sisters, Diane and Roberta (Robert’s twin).

Leonard enjoyed working with horses.  Often referred to as the “horse whisperer”, he loved riding horseback and hitching horses, he had his own team.  He also enjoyed quadding with his grandkids, friends and family.  He enjoyed working on cars and vehicles and building many things, such as outdoor furniture and decks, sheds and bird houses and he liked to feed the birds and had a love for dogs too. He loved to joke around with family and friends and had his own dictionary of unique words and names. He loved hockey and was a Winnipeg Jets fan. He loved a good deal and going to townwide garage sales.  He was “One Tough Cowboy”

Traditional Wake Services held in the Swan Lake First Cultural Centre on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at 4 pm. Funeral Service held in Swan Lake First Nation Cultural Centre on Thursday, December 1, 2022 commencing with the Feast at noon. Interment to follow at Indian Springs Cemetery with Elder Dave Scott officiating.

Pallbearers will be: Lloyd Mousseau, John Martin, Rob Daniels, Norman Soldier, Trevor Peters, Darrell Mousseau & Kyle Mousseau

Honorary Pallbearers will be Gilbert Daniels, Jimmy Esquash, Mike Mousseau, Robert Soldier, Steven Scott, Dennis Scott, Wayne Scott, Terry Houle, Larry Robinson, The Conrad Family (Perry, Keith, Gene & Dennis), Leonard Penner, Brad Daniels & Jason Daniels
