It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Lorraine Acoby on August 4, 2023 in Merritt, British Columbia at the age of 70 years.

Lorraine is survived by her siblings; Leonard, Acoby, Kathy Acoby, Leslie Acoby, Yvonne Bonnie Acoby Bradley, Walter Acoby, Frances & Florence Acoby, Elwood Acoby, Charlotte Moar, and Yvette McKinley; daughter, Rainbow Cloud Acoby; grandsons, Matthew Asa Hall & Lucas Drake Daybutch; granddaughter, Kayla Shauntey Rain Acoby; and great granddaughter, Waniyedu-Woyan Makade Mukwa (Winter Flower).

She was preceded in death by her grandparents Harry Acoby & Margaret Acoby (Maggie nee Prince); Thomas Myerion & Naomi Myerion (nee Peters); and parents Okema Acoby & Joan Acoby (nee Myerion); siblings Henry Acoby, Wayne Acoby, Marion Acoby, sons Clayton Acoby, Lawrence “Lorne” Bose; daughter Lori Michelle Acoby; grandchildren Sylvester James Lawrence Daniels, Starr Acoby.

A Traditional Wake will be held at the Swan Lake First Nation Cultural Centre on Sunday, August 20, 2023 at 4 p.m. A Traditional Funeral Service will be held on Monday, August 21, 2023 at the Cultural Centre, with the feast commencing at 12 p.m.
