Obituary

Lucienne Bazin

In the 1950s and sixties, Lucienne was involved in many community activities: was co-founder of the St-Claude Gazette, did fund raising for the building of the Saint-Claude Hospital and was a member of the Saint-Claude Chamber of Commerce. She was also a founding member of the local Community Development Corporation and was an active member of the local Tourism and Marketing Committee. Upon retirement she became a First Responder for the Saint-Claude ambulance service, ending by teaching the First Responder courses in the last two years the local ambulance service was active.

Lucienne was also a member of the Saint-Claude Hospital Foundation, of the Saint-Claude parish Council and participated in the Committee working on, SAINT-CLAUDE, 1892 – 2015, Familles * FAMILIES book. She enjoyed the sport of curling and upon retirement she enjoyed many cruises on different seas and around different continents with her brother Roger and on a pilgrimage to the Holy Land.
