Mabel Doris (Marks) Nostedt

Peacefully at the Elkwood Manor in Elkhorn, MB on Wednesday, April 13, 2022, Mrs. Mabel Nostedt of Treherne, MB passed away at the age of 105 years.

Mabel was born August 5, 1916, in Mather, MB.  She was predeceased by her husband of 44 years Lyal Marks; her second husband Tom Nostedt; her son Garnet Marks; and by her son-in-law Jack Sundell. She was also predeceased by her parents Fred and Lavinia Wray; five siblings, Ruby, Garnet, Zilpha, Pearl and Hannah; Lyal’s siblings, Vivian, Florence, Margaret and Elsie; and by Tom’s brother Jack.

She leaves to mourn her four children, Donna (Emil) Kowalski, Delmar Marks, Sharon (Ken) Johnson, Velma (Ben) Lang; two daughters-in-law Elsie Marks and Yvonne Marks; her 13 grandchildren, Arnold, Glen (Christine), Gordon (Donna), Mark (Kelly), Larry (Pam), Valerie (Derek), Michelle (Leonard), Alan (Andrea), Rodney (Katrinka), Angela (Scott), Cheryl (Brent), Darren (Ceri), Jacqueline (Carl) and Lana (Brian), Joanna (Ryan), Ben (Trisha); her great-grandchildren, Parker, Carson, Sophie, Laura (Andrew), Heidi (Alex), James, Alex, Trevor, Oscar, Jude, Donovan, Chad, Jefferey, Taylor, Reed (Jeremy), Vanessa, Kassidy, Connor, Cypress, Gabriella, Jack, Piper, Zoe, Owen, Jessica, Lucianna and Giovanna; her great-great-grandchildren, Jack, Olivia and Elena.

She also leaves to mourn Tom’s family, his children, Alan (Aline) Nostedt, Louise Nostedt (David Dixon), Jim (Aline) Nostedt, Elizabeth Nostedt (Thomas Bernhardsson), Bill (Brenda) Nostedt and Chuck Nostedt and their families.

Funeral Services will be held at the Treherne United Church on Wednesday, April 20, 2022

at 2 p.m. with Heather Grobb officiating.  Lunch will be served after the service followed by the interment at Woodlands Cemetery. The family have requested that everyone wear a mask.
