Never will I forget when this young man, Don Chapman, came to our little town, one of the new young teachers. We were all excited and the excitement never stopped. This wonderful man, always upbeat, kind, generous and a bit of a teaser. Will always remember you and that great great smile.

Don was a man of many stories. Just last week, he was telling us the story of how he got his first teaching job in St. Claude, and it was a good one! We are fortunate to count ourselves among his first students, as it was evident right from the start of his career that Don was an exceptional educator whose leadership made a difference in his students' lives, in the school and in the community. We are grateful for those early lessons and also grateful that we got to reconnect with him many years later. Thank you, Don, for all you have done. May you rest in peace. Our sincere condolences to his family.

To Don's family. I was privileged enough to have officiated at Track and Field meets alongside Don for several years . Also had the pleasure of meeting Aimee at same events. I loved hearing about how proud he was of St Claude, about being Mayor and the baskets of flowers put up in town to beautify the area. Sorry for your loss
