Sending deepest condolences to Leona's family and friends. I met Leona a few years ago when we both worked for the Aboriginal Senior Resources Centre of Winnipeg and we became fast friends. She was a wonderful, kind caring friend and co-worker. I am so saddened by her passing but glad she is not suffering anymore and is safe in the arms of our Creator. She will be dearly missed by everyone who knew her. Miigwech Creator for giving us Leona for a period of time. May she now RIP.

My dear friend, you left way too soon. I was planning on coming to visit before summer was over. Every time I asked you how you are feeling, you always said you were okay. You never told me otherwise, wish I could visit you one last time before you start your journey. We had many fun times and created memories for our children. We will see each other again some day, will keep your children and takoja in my prayers. Miss you and love you koda!
